Statement by Eric Linzer, HPA President and CEO

“While the Energy and Commerce Committee’s bill avoided some of the most onerous provisions that were being discussed, its proposed cuts to the health care system will hurt our state’s most vulnerable residents and lead to higher costs for consumers. Additionally, it will increase the number of uninsured, undercutting the work New York has undertaken to expand coverage, and we urge members of the state’s Congressional Delegation to oppose the bill.”
